Early Christmas

Back to Melton Mowbray on Sunday for our early Christmas as we shall be enjoying the sun in Goa on 25th. Christmas lunch was served promptly at 12.00 noon where Mum had excelled as usual. Once Georgina and I had washed up we were all in the conservatory to open our presents. By this time Georgina was already wearing her new jeans, top and scarf while she opened some others.

The Victorian marked was through the town center on Sunday so all traffic was diverted causing even more congestion than normal. Melton is an old Market town originally called “Middle town” as it is right in the middle of Leicester, Nottingham, Grantham, Oakham, Loughborough and a few others so this was the reason it originally had the market their. Melton is one of the few towns still supporting a cattle market which is open on a Tuesday.

I returned home to the kebab flat where all the presents were laid out for our second early Christmas and Harriet came around to open some of hers, leaving others for the 25th. Claire seemed happy with hers and even I got some things to open. Claire and I normally buy a holiday between us as we both enjoy getting away from the cold for as long as possible. Only 2 weeks this year as I need to find a new contract in the New Year. Have a good one everyone!
